Toronto Croquet Club finalist in NSW Communities and Justice COMMUNITY CLUB OF THE YEAR

Toronto Croquet Club was nominated as the Sport NSW Community Club of the Year for 

  • Success in competition: with a number of players in the State GC squad, as well as winning the Victorian Gateball Championships
  • Activity as a Club Hub, in organising training, competitions in the Hunter region
  • Volunteer leadership and member retention: with a high number of trained coaches and referees, and a active participation by members
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Innovation and persistence in obtaining the new Lake Macquarie Croquet Centre, which will boost growth and attract competition to the Lake Macquarie area.

The Sports Foyer NSW Community Sports Awards are focused on community and grass roots sport, recognising the contributions largely carried out by a volunteer workforce.

These awards provide State Sporting Organisations and State Sporting Organisations with a Disability an opportunity to recognise the efforts and achievements their dedicated volunteers deliver across NSW every day.

These highly regarded volunteers will be hosted and the winners of the awards announced at a special ceremony at CommBank Stadium, Parramatta, at 6.00pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024.
